Definition of general packaging auxiliary materials

Definition and Role of Core Materials
Core materials, as the name suggests, refer to the materials that play a primary supporting and protective role in the packaging process. They typically possess a certain structural strength and stability, ensuring that products are not damaged during transportation, storage, and sales. Core materials are diverse, including but not limited to cartons, wooden frames, and plastic pallets. These materials are selected and customized according to the characteristics of the product and packaging requirements to ensure the overall effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of the packaging.

Definition and Role of Auxiliary Materials
Compared to core materials, auxiliary materials play a supplementary and supporting role in the packaging process. They are mainly used to enhance the protective performance of the packaging, improve the product's aesthetics, or facilitate consumer use. Common auxiliary materials include foam padding, bubble wrap, plastic bags, and labels. Although these materials seem simple, they play an indispensable role in the entire packaging process. For example, foam padding can effectively prevent products from being damaged by vibration during transportation; labels can provide relevant product information, making it easier for consumers to identify and purchase.

Synergistic Effect of Core and Auxiliary Materials
In the packaging process, core materials and auxiliary materials are interdependent and work synergistically. The main structural components provide the basic structure and primary support for the packaging, while the auxiliary materials refine and improve upon them. Together, they form a complete packaging system, offering comprehensive protection and display for the product. Therefore, when selecting and designing packaging materials, we need to fully consider the combination and coordination of the main and auxiliary materials to ensure that the overall performance and aesthetics of the packaging reach their optimal state.
