A common question from our export customers – especially in Europe and North America – is whether our inflatable void fill is truly environmentally friendly. The answer is yes, and we can prove it. We hold GRS certification (Global Recycling Standard). Our material is PE, which is recyclable. After your customer unpacks the carton, they can simply deflate the cushion and toss it into a recycling bin. No special treatment needed. Without a GRS certificate, you might face customs delays or audit questions – we've seen that happen. So we got certified. We also have ISO 14001 for environmental management, and our factory treats wastewater, exhaust, and scrap according to local regulations.
Now, let's talk about how this thing actually performs on your packing line.
You inflate it right before placing it into cartons. Normal thickness ranges from 0.03 to 0.08 mm; for heavier items, we offer a thick version at 0.08–0.12 mm, and we can go up to 0.15 mm on request. Inflation pressure is low – 0.05 to 0.1 MPa for normal type, 0.08 to 0.12 MPa for thick type. Each unit weighs only 2–8 grams, so it won't add noticeable shipping weight. Common sizes are 20×30 cm, 30×40 cm, and 40×50 cm, but we can make anything from 10×10 cm up to 100×150 cm. Color options: clear, white, or blue. We can also print your logo or a warning message.
What about strength and air retention?
Tensile strength exceeds 15 MPa, elongation is over 300%, and heat seal strength is above 1.5 N/15 mm. Once inflated, the cushion stays airtight for at least 24 hours – more than enough for typical shipping cycles. If you store unopened rolls in a dry place at -5°C to 30°C, away from direct sunlight, the shelf life is 12 months.
For export documentation, we don't just send a few papers.
Each batch comes with a test report. You also get our ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 certificates, GRS certificate, and High-Tech Enterprise certificate upon request. We provide MSDS and a non-dangerous goods transport identification. This inflatable void fill is not on any dangerous goods list – sea, air, and land shipping all accept it freely. We also welcome third-party inspections: you can send your own person or ask SGS to visit our factory before shipment. We cooperate fully.
One last thing: we don't hide behind data sheets. If you want to see how it works on your actual cartons, ask for a sample. Inflate it, leave it overnight, put weight on it. Then decide.
